Off Season Hockey

Founded in the Spring of 2024- 6 week program open to ALL players in the Tri-State area (IA, WI, IL) that will run from the first week of April until the middle of May.

Practices will be held at ImOn Arena 1800 Admiral Sheehy Dr, Dubuque, IA 52001

2 tournaments (4 game guarantee at each tournament)

Experienced coaching staff with NCAA & Junior Hockey experience

The cost is $600, which covers all spring and summer practices. Please note that this fee does not cover games or tournaments, as those details are still being finalized. 

All players eligible for high school hockey for the 2026/27 season are highly encouraged to sign up, including those with remaining bantam eligibility. While some past players may join us for practices only, all eligible high school players are welcome to participate in games and or tournaments.

Schedule Details:

- Spring Season: Tentatively scheduled for Mondays (7:45–9:00 PM) and Thursdays (6:45–8:00 PM), starting Monday, March 23rd through the end of May.

- Summer Season: Tentatively scheduled for Thursdays (6:00–7:15 PM) leading up to high school tryouts. Additional skate times may be added prior to tryouts at no extra cost.

3-Day High Performance Goaltending Camp! Led by University of Dubuque Women's Coach, Erin Connolly.

A native of Mequon, Wisconsin, Connolly was a standout goaltender at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire from 2016–2020. She earned numerous honors, including CCM/AHCA All-American, WIAC Player of the Year, and WIAC Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete in 2020, while being named to the All-WIAC First Team four times. She helped lead the Blugolds to O’Brien Cup championships in 2018 and 2019 and NCAA Tournament appearances in 2018, 2019, and 2020.

After college, Connolly moved into coaching and player development. Since 2024, she has served as the Under-16 Girls Head Coach for Team Wisconsin, competing in the Minnesota Girls Elite Hockey League. She has also worked with USA Hockey Youth Development since 2017 as Wisconsin’s Goaltending Development Coordinator, was Director of Goaltending at Valley Sports Academy (2022–24), and YMCA Youth Programs Director (2021–22).

Dubuque Learn to Skate is affiliated with the national Learn to Skate USA program and our coaches utilize this curriculum in our instruction. All our coaches meet the requirements of Learn to Skate USA, have completed SafeSport training, and completed background checks. Helping your child strengthen their goaltending skills, work habits, and overall game performance is the focus of this three-day clinic. By the end of the weekend, goalies will feel more confident, technically sound, and prepared to continue developing their game. The clinic includes six hours of focused on-ice instruction.
